Wondershare Photo Recovery is a tool for recovering photos, videos and music. It can scan your hard drives and flash drives and find files that were deleted or lost to corruption or other causes, and recover them. The application will first scan your drives and let you know what files can be recovered.
As with all applications of this kind, you should know that files that were lost or deleted accidentally may not always be recoverable. I learned this the hard way. There are applications that will find your files, but they might be damaged. Some will find and recover your pictures successfully.
Wondershare Photo Recovery allows you to scan all your hard drives for music, photos, and videos. You can look for all three of those media types or simply select one and search for that one. If you only select one, the process will be faster.
In my testing, I placed a couple of pictures on my desktop and then deleted them. Then I opened Wondershare Photo Recovery and scanned my folders. After a couple of hours, the scan had already found thousands of image files, but my files weren't there. The scan wasn't complete, though. But be aware that it will take a long, long time for it to finish. You can stop it at any time and see the pictures that were found in a gallery, complete with snapshots and some details. You can sort the results by format, but not by name, since file names are not retrieved during the scan. You can filter images by size, but only after the scan is completed. It would be more helpful to allow this before the scan, to speed it up a little.
